South Africa United Against Crime (SAUAC) was founded by Siphiwe Vivian Kunene, a five (05) times victim of crime who suffered severely because of crime. He was robbed two (02) times at gun point of his cellphones and lost an uncle due to an armed robbery. His mother’s house was burglared into (03) three-times as a result a brand new 42 inch full HD Sony TV was stolen. The last more life-threatening incident occurred in 2015 January when he was instructed to lie down at gunpoint when a Post office packed with people in Jeppe street Johannesburg was robbed by armed criminals.
As part of recovery and healing from his dramatic and depressing experiences, he decided to take charge and action against crime by becoming a “crime- activist” and a community patroller in his neighbourhood and established SA united against crime, a Public based structure designed to fight crime and protect citizens, particularly “woman and children” from being victimised by ruthless, inhuman and cruel criminals.
