  • Crime prevention and Public safety (intensive- patrols day and night 24/7).
  • Intelligence gathering
  • Establishing CPF’s Nation-wide and monitor both active and in-active CPF’s.
  • Establishing “permanent and active” neighbour watching programme
  • Providing equipment’s for community Patrollers such as torches, reflector jackets, whistles and etc.
  • Providing moral support to victims of crime
  • Raising enough funds to build one satellite Police station a year in areas where crime is rife, where Police stations are out of reach, or no Police stations at all.
  • Making Police force professional, productive and render exceptional service-delivery to members of the Public.
  • Educating youth and school kids about dangers of drugs and alcohol
  • Fighting child and woman abuse (by visiting schools, churches, communities and etc).
  • Fighting and promoting girls / young-women’s rights
  • Educating Communities not to buy stolen goods
  • Educating Communities not to bribe Police officers and report corrupt Police Officers
  • Educating youth and communities about dangers and consequences of crime
  • Closing down illegal sheebins and scrap yards
  • Installing security measures on Public facilities such as community halls, libraries, sport centres and etc.
  • Installing boom gates, razor fences and walls in areas targeted for business robbery, house robbery and house breaking.
  • Identifying high crime-zone areas such as selected streets, bus stops, bridges and etc, and advise Community members to avoid them and ask the Government to put security measures.
  • Arranging Professional help for Community members suffering from drug and alcohol addictions.
  • Arranging legal assistance (reference).
  • Creating employment opportunity for community members during constructions and renovations of Police stations.
  • Promote volunteering to Government departments and NGO’s and negotiate permanent placements after completions of Police stations and other projects
  • Planting trees, grass, installing rubbish bins and erecting side-walks to Police stations in order to prevent citizens from being hit by cars.
  • Installing surveillance cameras in towns and selected roads and intersections.
  • Building small courts (in future).
  • Intermediary- services between Community members and SAPS National office in terms of complaints, concerns and challenges concerning Police officers and service- delivery.
  • Establishing a healthy and well-balanced relationship between citizens and the SAPS.
