The SAUAC Wellness Walk Against Cancer is a community walkathon — 10,000 Steps of Hope — uniting South Africans to raise awareness, fund early detection and create hope. Choose an 8KM or 5KM route.
Saturday 24 October 2026 at Rietvlei Zoo Farm.
The 8KM walk starts at 08:15 and the 5KM walk at 08:30, in two waves. Arrive early for the warm-up.
Everyone — families, corporates, youth and survivors. It's an inclusive, all-ages event.
Click Register for the Walkathon, complete the online form and pay securely. You'll receive an instant email notification.
Every entry includes a Walkathon T-shirt, a walk number (race bib), a drawstring bag and full event access.
Once you have successfully registered and paid for your Wellness Walk Against Cancer 2026 ticket, your registration will be confirmed. Your official Walkathon pack — including your event T-shirt and participant number/bib — must be collected before the event during designated collection periods.
Collection details, including dates, times and venues, will be communicated to all registered participants via email and SMS approximately one month before the event. Please keep your registration confirmation and booking reference, as these may be required when collecting your pack.
Walkathon packs, T-shirts and participant materials will not be distributed on event day — we encourage all participants to monitor their email and SMS notifications for collection updates and important event information.
